How is line used in the composition? Contour, types of line, emotion or texture effectively used (describe where and how within the composition).
How were elements of line used to optimum effect in composition? If line was not effective give reasons.
The use of line was very effective in this composition with the light-rail train and truck following the real lines of the elevated road beds and the jet flying over an elevated roadbed that abruptly ends.
The imaginary line of the jet’s flight path is excellent.
The lines of the elevated road bed give a sense of both direction and motion of the vehicles traveling on these roadbeds.
Real lines are also used in the negative space to provide an outline of the countries on a map of the world where the jet can take you.
Overall an outstanding use of lines both real and imagined.
How is space used in the composition? (filling the space:concept of Positive/Negative explored. Techniques which may create the illusion of space(which techniques)? How were elements of space used to optimum effect in composition? If space was not effective give reasons.
Space was used very well in this project. Depending on how you look at the air plane and the way all the ramps are located, you can believe the air plane is close or far away from the ramps. Chuck used negative and positive space by the picture looking upward from the ground creating just enough space in between the ramps. The technique lower=closer was used in this image because the ramps are lower than the plane causing the plane to be viewed in a farther way than it really is. (great job) The space optimum the effect in composition because how he used the space in the image made his image feel like it was really transporting. Great job on creating enough space to make it seem like the plane have came a long way.
